HARRISONBURG, Va – Harrisonburg Fire Officials say Wednesday night’s 20th Anniversary of Free Pizza/Smoke Alarm Night was a smashing success.
Lieutenant Erin Stahle reported that volunteers delivered pizzas to around 400 homes, which means those homes now have fully-functioning smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Stahle adds that just because the event is over, the department provides free smoke alarm checks and replacements year round.
Just a reminder that if a Harrisonburg City resident needs assistance with smoke or carbon monoxide alarms, please contact HFD at 540-432-7703.
Stahle thanked all the volunteers that helped made Pizza Night a success.
