HARRISONBURG, Va – The Harrisonburg City Council and City School Board held a Liaison Committee meeting on Friday about the proposed Bluestone Town Center and perhaps its impact on Harrisonburg City Public Schools.
The 90-acre project that may have as many as 900 homes when completed will be situated near Harrisonburg High School and Bluestone Elementary School.
While it was noted that the town center would significantly impact school capacities, School Superintendent Dr. Michael Richards says the school system has no particular position on the proposal.
City Council is expected to make a final decision on the proposal at its next meeting on Tuesday, February 14th.
