WOODSTOCK, Va –Â Speaker of the House and Woodstock Delegate Todd Gilbert is not happy with his alma mater after a letter surfaced recently from a group called Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Virginia.
The letter states that the group unequivocally supports Palestinian liberation and the right of colonized people everywhere to resist the occupation of their land by whatever means they deem is necessary.
Gilbert stated in a message on social media Tuesday afternoon that he implores U-V-A and school president Jim Ryan to condemn this vile statement in the strongest possible terms and to take action.
When asked what action should U-V-A take, Gilbert’s response was to ensure that students are educated such that they would recognize that beheading babies is wrong.
