HARRISONBURG, Va – It is 15 years in prison for the man who admitted to embezzling a million dollars from the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board.

Andrew Hahn of Winchester pleaded guilty to five felony charges on Wednesday in Rockingham County Circuit Court. A judge then sentenced him to 20 years in prison on each charge with 17 of those years suspended.

Harrisonburg Police Captain Todd Miller had reported that on October 12th of last year, the board contacted police regarding an employee suspected of embezzling a substantial sum of money between 2019 and 2021.

An investigation identified the 37-year-old Hahn as the suspect. At the time, he was employed as the Board’s Information Technology Manager.

Hahn also pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering and received a 40-year suspended sentence. He was also forced to pay nearly 190-thousand dollars in restitution.
