RMC put up nine runs in the first inning off Fravel before she was able to get out of the inning.

• EMU’s offense was kept off the base paths for the rest of the game as Ellis completed the no hitter. Rogers finished the game in the circle for EMU, pitching the final three innings and giving just three hits and one earned run with a pair of strikeouts.

Highlights
• Rogers and Samantha Hensley both singled in the first, putting runners on first and second for the Royals. But a pop out and a line out ended the threat and brought the Yellow Jackets to the plate. A lead off triple, followed by a single, plated the first run and put RMC up 1-0. Back-to-back stolen bases and a wild pitch would plate another run and give Randolph-Macon a 2-0 lead before Graham would get out of the inning.

• The Royals put runners in scoring position in the second after Taylor Umberger singled and advanced to third on Autumn Bailey’s double. But Umberger was thrown out at home on a sac bunt attempt to keep EMU off the board. EMU would pick up base hits in second through fifth innings, but couldn’t plate the tying runs.

• RMC would add an insurance run on an RBI single in the sixth but EMU would keep fighting in their half of the seventh. Rogers reached first on an error and Madi Armentrout singled, sending Rogers to third. Hensley grounded out to short, plating Rogers and putting Armentrout on third but a strikeout ended the game.
