Virginia Department of Health figures show more than 14-hundred people have contracted COVID in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County in the past 13 weeks, and other areas in the country are seeing similar upticks in caseloads.

According to C-D-C director Rochelle Walensky, that means there’s still work to do to mitigate the virus.

Speaking to federal lawmakers, Walensky said the C-D-C is focused on sharing information faster and translating scientific jargon into easy-to-understand policy.
