• The Cavaliers put the lead-off batter aboard again in the bottom of the fourth but a pair of punchouts from Cauthorn maintained the BC lead.
• Bridgewater put two runners in scoring position in the fifth after a walk from Kaelyn Ramsey and a two-base rip from Jazmyne Smith but once more the Eagles were unable to capitalize.
• The bottom of the sixth opened with a pair of base knocks for the Cavaliers and a sacrifice-fly pushed the lead runner to third but a great play from Kathryn Thomas to make the grab and get the ball in caught the second runner on the tag-up attempt. A single from Cabrini drove in the runner from third to tie the game.
• Neither team could push a run across in the seventh sending the game into extra innings. The Eagles were unable to score in the top of the eighth, but the runner placed on second due to international tie-breaking rules made it to third before a pair of punch outs. The Cavaliers wasted no time in the home half of the frame as a sacrifice bunt and a single brought home the game-winning run.
