The Augusta County Fair opens tonight. The five-night event kicks off this evening at the fairgrounds in Fishersville.

The rides will be humming and the midway aglow beginning at 6 o’clock, but according to the fair schedule, nightly wildlife exhibits and a petting zoo are part of the entertainment, too.

You can also take in a Marvelous Mutts dog show and something called a Piano Juggler.

General admission tickets are five bucks for folks 13 and older. Through Thursday night, ride armbands are 20 dollars after a five-dollar coupon that can be printed at augustacountyfair.com.
