SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Shenandoah County authorities arrested a juvenile earlier today after she was accused of making a school threat.

Sheriff Tim Carter reported that the sheriff’s office responded to an incident regarding school threats at Peter Muhlenburg Middle School.

Carter stated that the incident pertained to a verbal threat made by a suspected 13-year-old girl from Maurertown.

The threat occurred in the hallway, where the suspected juvenile stated they were going to “shoot up the school”.

The threat was then reported to school officials and authorities charged her with threats to bomb or damage buildings.

Carter thanked students who alerted the staff to the verbal threat.
