FOREST, Va. (BC Athletics) – Twelve members of the Bridgewater College football team were named to the All-ODAC teams announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Brendan Robinson, Cedric Drumgoole and Demarco Fleming earned spots on the first team. Jaicere Bateman, Kyle Beck, Glory Nseka, Adam Bowling, TJ Lowery, Noah Hines and Alex Solorzano were placed on the second team. Andrew Brown and Aaron Moore earned third team selections as at larges.

Robinson earns a First Team All-ODAC nod at the all-purpose back role as he was active all over the field for BC while mainly serving as a running back. Robinson tallied a career-high 535 yards and averaged 5.4 yards per carry on the ground, while also making 16 catches for 152 yards. The junior’s highlight was in the return game. Robinson averaged 29.2 yards per return to lead the ODAC and rank 12th in Div. III. Robinson also ranked 71st nationally averaging 115.4 all purpose yards per game.

Drumgoole joins Robinson as the other offensive first team pick. The Dinwiddie, Va. native led the ODAC in receptions per game (6.5) and ranked third in the league averaging 63.6 yards per game. Drumgoole also tallied six total touchdowns in 2024 with five through the air and a kick return for a touchdown as well.

The ODAC’s final Defensive Player of the Week finds a spot on the first as Fleming wreaked havoc on the defensive front for the Eagles. Fleming tied for the ODAC lead in forced fumbles and combined with Lowery to tie for the conference lead and fifth place nationally in fumble recoveries with three each. The sophomore’s 1.6 tackles for loss per game led the conference and ranked 26th in Div. III. Fleming tallied multiple TFL four times for a total of 15.5 to crack inside the program’s top marks for a single season.

Bateman started all 10 games for the Eagles under center and was among the ODAC and nation’s best all year long. The Lynchburg, Va. native was a threat through the air and on the ground as his 239.2 yards of total offense per game ranked second in the conference and 62nd nationally. Bateman was responsible for multiple scores in eight different games and had a rushing and passing score in six contests in his sophomore season and tallied the Eagle’s single season completions record with 204.

Beck returned to BC for a fifth season and tallied career highs across the board. The Richmond native racked up 25 catches for 231 yards including a trio of touchdowns while also being a key piece in the blocking up front as a true tight end should be.

Nseka and Bowling anchored the BC offensive line all year long as the duo started all 10 games up front in their senior seasons. The pairing led the front five that allowed just 1.9 sacks per game to rank inside the top-half of the ODAC .

Lowery tied for the ODAC lead and had a share of fifth nationally with three fumble recoveries, with a pair of those coming in BC’s final game of the season against Guilford. Lowery’s fifth season in crimson and gold saw him register career highs in tackles (59), tackles for loss (7.5), sacks (2) and the already mentioned fumble recoveries on his way to his first all-conference honor.

Hines led the BC secondary yet again in his senior season. The North Carolina native ranked second in the ODAC in passes defended with 1.0 per game and tallied 22 tackles to go along with his third-straight season with an interception.

Solorzano was an important piece to the Eagles’ “edge”. The punter averaged 39.8 yards per punt and would have ranked inside the top-30 nationally, but did not qualify for the minimum as he only saw action 33 times in 2024. The senior tallied a pair of 50+ yard punts and pinned opponents inside their own 20-yard line nearly a quarter (24.3%) of the time with a total of eight.

Brown earns an all-conference accolade after registering 28 tackles and 4.5 TFL for the Eagles in a defensive tackle role. The junior’s season will likely be remembered by many for his game-winning field goal block against Shenandoah back in October. SU lined up for the potential game-winning field goal as time expired, but Brown batted it down at the line of scrimmage to secure the thrilling comeback victory.

Moore wraps up his sixth season of collegiate with his third All-ODAC selection in four seasons at BC. Moore was a key piece to the Bridgewater secondary tallying 57 tackles and a pair of interceptions in his safety role. This also marks Moore’s third season with multiple interceptions and ties him for 10th in program history with nine total.

The 2024 season saw the Eagles register a 6-4 overall record and tally 4-3 record in ODAC play. The Eagles also erupted for 40+ points four times including a program record 80-0 win over Southern Va. in week two.
