Jacquelynn Dobrin
Editor in Chief
Jacquelynn first started as a part time news anchor and reporter for WSVA in 2022. Before the launch of Rocktown Now in April of 2024, she was Assistant Editor and then became Editor-in-Chief in November of 2024.
Local Favorites: Shopping small in Downtown Harrisonburg and Staunton, going to the library, watching JMU sports, and eating at local restaurants
Carolynn Unger
News Anchor & Reporter
Carolynn is a 2023 James Madison University graduate with a degree in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Journalism. She is the Assistant Editor of Rocktown Now as of January 2025.
Local Favorites: Greenberry’s Coffee, O’Neill’s Grill, Shopping in Downtown Harrisonburg and trivia nights at Pale Fire Brewing Company.
Mario Retrosi
News Director & Host of Late Afternoons
Mario has been with WSVA since June of 2016 and has served as news director for the past three years. In addition to news, he serves as play-by-play voice and provides color commentary on high school sporting events. Before arriving at WSVA, he spent 14 years as news and sport director of a radio station in Front Royal.
Local Favorites: When Mario is not working, he enjoys working out and playing golf all the great local courses, including Lakeview, Packsaddle Ridge, Shenvalee and Bryce.
Linden Kiser
News Anchor & Reporter
Linden started as Harrisonburg Media Group’s morning news anchor and reporter in 2024.
Local Favorites: Browsing the shelves at the library, shopping and eating downtown, and playing putt-putt whenever possible.
Dave Riggert
Sports Director
Dave serves as the Sports Director at Harrisonburg Media Group and the Play-by-Play Voice of the James Madison Dukes. He’s been with HMG since September 2021 and came to Harrisonburg after living in the Midwest his entire life. Dave grew up in Nebraska and worked in radio in St. Joseph, Missouri and Salina, Kansas.
Local Favorites: Dave is usually at a ball field or gym somewhere in the Shenandoah Valley for work or with his three boys. Enjoys working out, reading, reality shows, and going out to eat.
Frank Wilt
Early Mornings on WSVA Host and Operations Manager
Frank is an Operations Manager with the Harrisonburg Media Group and has been with WSVA for 35+ years. In addition to being the “weather guy” across all our stations, Frank updates the weather on Rocktown Now. He’s also part of “Early Mornings” with Jim, Linden, Jacquelynn and Dave and host of the daily ag feature “Spotlight on Valley Agriculture.
Local Favorites: Traveling and checking out new restaurants with his wife, Serena.
Jim Britt
Early Mornings on WSVA Host and Interviewer
Jim came to WSVA in 1987 and originally hosted the WSVA midday show. He also was the WSVA sports director and executive producer and play-by-play announcer for the JMU Sports NetworK for 13 years. Jim joined Frank Wilt in the early 1990s to co-host Early Mornings on WSVA. From 1990 to 2021, Jim served as executive producer and co-host of the nationally syndicated gardening show “In The Garden with Andre Viette.”
Local Favorites: Going to Orioles games and visiting his grandson.
