EMU Baseball opens season with 9-4 loss at Christopher Newport
James Madison senior Max Kuhle was one of 104 players named to the initial 2026 Watch List for the 21st Annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, the association announced Tuesday.
Due to game field conditions, James Madison’s lacrosse game against Virginia Tech will be played at the Sentara Park turf field at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

Peyton McDaniel tied her season high of 29 points, as James Madison dominated the glass, 46-26, for a 71-57 victory over Massachusetts inside the Mullins Center on Sunday afternoon to hand the Minutewomen their first home loss of the 2025-26 season.
Home runs from sophomore Emily LeGrand and freshman Mia Tribul powered James Madison softball to a split of games on the final day in Chapel Hill, taking down Elon, 13-4, before falling to North Carolina, 11-3, at Eugene A. Anderson Stadium.
Justin McBride and Eli Wilborn hit three free throws in the final 20 seconds to propel James Madison men’s basketball to a 73-71 win over Toledo on Saturday afternoon at the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
The Bridgewater College women’s basketball team bounced back on Saturday with a 54-48 victory over Guilford led by a strong second half.
