The Bridgewater College field hockey team dropped a heartbreaker to Mary Washington 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday night.
After opening the 2025 season at home, the Royals field hockey team made the trek north for its first road test of the season. After Goucher took an early 2-0 lead, the Royals were able to cut their deficit to one with a goal in the third. But the Gophers added to their lead with an insurance goal in the fourth, picking up a 3-1 win over EMU.
