Elkton woman indicted on involuntary manslaughter charge

Debra Elliot, 66, was charged after an incident on April 16 in the 5500 of Bryant Hollow Road in which Dymond Thacker of Broadway was riding on top of her car, fell off and was struck.

Police name victims in Augusta County fatal crash, one arrested at the scene

The pedestrians, Opal C. Nelson, 83, and Carolyn M. Childress, 72, both of Staunton, died at the scene. According to a statement from Virginia State Police, neither person was wearing reflective clothing at the time of crash.
