FOREST, Va. (BC Athletics) – Trey Widrick has been named the ODAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

The sophomore from Cary, N.C. was a key piece as the men’s soccer program went 2-0-1 on the week, highlighted by a pair of wins this weekend.

Widrick Registered three shots in Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with William peace including one just before the horn that hit the crossbar. He stepped up on Saturday during a 6-1 win over Linfield as he tallied a goal and a pair of assists in the rout. Widrick polished it off with maybe the most highlight reel play of all as he scored from the midfield stripe to put the Eagles on the board in a 4-1 win over Marietta on Sunday.

This is Widrick’s first conference player of the week accolade of hi career. The sophomore has already matched his total of assists from a season ago as the Eagles have crossed the quarter-way point of the season.
