HARRISONBURG, Va. (JMU Athletics) – Thursday’s women’s soccer match between JMU and Kent State was ruled a no contest after inclement weather suspended play in the 69th minute. Due to lightning in the area, the Dukes were unable to complete their inaugural match against the Golden Flashes.
At the time of suspension, JMU led 1-0 thanks to a first half goal by senior Amanda Attanasi. The Dukes had control of possession and the advantage in shots during play that was also delayed 45 minutes to start due to storms in the area.
JMU will return to action on Sunday, Sep. 1st to take on #7 Virginia for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff.
